On the 5½-day Upper Rowing your journey will take you 88 miles from Lee's Ferry to Phantom Ranch - deep within the Grand Canyon. The trip begins in Page, AZ, at Lake Powell Resorts and Marina on Lake Powell and ends with a ten-mile hike out of the canyon. Experience Marble Canyon, Redwall Cavern, Little Colorado and more as well as over 20 rated rapids including “House Rock”, “The Roaring 20’s”, “Unkar”, “Hance”, “Sockdolager”, and “Grapevine”.

Build your own sandwiches, with chips, cookies, fruit, and soft drinks. Relax, read a book, or perhaps hike or swim before shoving off again on the mighty Colorado.
Late afternoon finds you at camp for the evening - where the setting sun brings the aroma of dinner sizzling on the grill or camp stove while you relax and review the happenings of the day with your fellow passengers. Soon you are ready to turn in - tomorrow is another "typical day".

Notes
The Day Before Please plan to arrive in Page, Arizona the day prior to your trip departure. You will require motel accommodations. Wilderness River Adventures will arrange these for you at Lake Powell Resorts and Marina. Mark your motel requirements on your reservation form, and they will send your motel confirmation with your trip instructions. You will be charge for thr room at the time of booking. That evening you will attend a "Get-Acquainted" orientation at the resort.
The Departure Day Wilderness Adventures will transport all members of the expedition to their Colorado River embarkment point at Lee's Ferry, Arizona, 46 miles from Page, via charter bus. The drive takes approximately one hour.
The Last Day Your expedition ends deep within Grand Canyon's inner gorge. The boats arrive at Phantom Ranch early morning of the fourth day. Sandwiches, fruit, granola bars and juice will be provided for your hike out. Water is also available for your hike (make certain that you bring two (2-quart ) water bottles - one for water and one for an electrolyte replacement drink). Complete hiking instructions will be sent with your trip instructions. A qualified hiking guide will meet the boats and guide the hike out of the canyon.
It is a ten-mile hike from Phantom Ranch to the South Rim. Wilderness Adventures does not recommend this hike unless you are in excellent physical condition and have done a lot of up-hill hiking. You will ascend over 5,000 feet in elevation from the river to the rim and temperatures can vary greatly. During the summer, inner canyon temperatures can reach 120° at high noon. The hike will take from six to eight hours depending on the individual. Complete hiking instructions will be sent to you with your trip instructions.
Reservation Policy
A $300 deposit per seat is required to confirm your reservation.
Cancellation Policy
Wilderness River Adventures will hold your seats for up to two weeks without a deposit. From time of deposit to 60 days prior to departure a $50 cancellation fee will be retained from your deposit. From 59 to 30 days prior to departure the entire deposit of $300 will be retained. Less than 29 days prior to departure, NO REFUNDS will be issued.
