8-Day Motor Trip - “Best of the Canyon”

On this seven-night/eight-day motor expedition, your journey begins in Page, AZ, and ends with a helicopter ride to Bar 10 Ranch and a charter flight to Page or Las Vegas. This trip is similar to the seven-day itinerary with an extra day to explore and relax. This is a premiere multi-day whitewater rafting vacation will take you 188 miles through the Grand Canyon (from Lees Ferry to Whitmore Wash). Visit Marble Canyon, Redwall Cavern, Little Colorado, Elves Chasm, Deer Creek Havasu and more. Run some of the biggest rapids in the world: “Hance”, “House Rock”, “Hermit", "Horn Creek”, “Crystal”, and “The Famous Lava”. Touch rocks almost half as old as the earth.

Leave your watches behind and the details to Wilderness River Adventures. Your trip is not measured in hours and minutes - only from sunup till sundown. Your only schedule is to arrive at the take-out destination the morning of the last day of your expedition. So relax, and enjoy the grandeur of the Canyon.

Lunch on the Colorado River
Build your own sandwiches, with chips, cookies, fruit and soft drinks. Relax, read a book, or perhaps hike or swim before shoving off again on the mighty Colorado.

Late afternoon finds you at camp for the evening - where the setting sun brings the aroma of dinner sizzling on the grill or camp stove while you relax and review the happenings of the day with your fellow passengers. Soon you are ready to turn in - tomorrow is another "typical" day.

Notes

The Day Before
Please plan to arrive in Page, Arizona, the day prior to your trip departure. You will require hotel accommodations. Wilderness River Adventures will arrange these for you at Lake Powell Resorts and Marina. Mark your hotel requirements on your reservation form and they will send your hotel confirmation with your trip instructions. You pay for your room at the time of booking. That evening you will attend a "Get-Acquainted" orientation at the resort.

The Departure Day
They will transport all members of the expedition to the Colorado River embarkment point at Lee's Ferry, Arizona, 46 miles from Page, via charter bus. The drive takes approximately one hour.

The Last Day - Your expedition ends at Whitmore Wash, at approximately 9:00am. You and your gear will be transported from Whitmore Wash via a short helicopter ride to the Bar Ten Ranch on the Canyon rim. Showers are available and you will be served a buffet style lunch before returning to "civilization" via a previously arranged charter flight. Your charter flight is included in your trip cost.

Reservation Policy

A $300 deposit per seat is required to confirm your reservation.

Cancellation Policy

Wilderness River Adventures will hold your seats for up to two weeks without a deposit. From time of deposit to 60 days prior to departure a $50 cancellation fee will be retained from your deposit. From 59 to 30 days prior to departure the entire deposit of $300 will be retained. Less than 29 days prior to departure, NO REFUNDS will be issued.
