As the Colorado River winds its way between the Shivwits and Hualapai plateaus, it cascades into the lower gorge of the Grand Canyon crating a world of excitement and unexpected beauty. The 97 miles from the starting point below Lava Falls Rapid to Pearce Ferry on Lake Mead includes stretches of exciting rapids and smooth flowing water. The last 34 miles are spent traveling between the sheer walls and graceful tiers of the upper stretches of beautiful Lake Mead.
Tour West has arranged a unique river expedition to give access to this marvelous region of the Grand Canyon. Your trip originates in Las Vegas, Nevada, one of the entertainment capitols of the west. From the airport in Las Vegas you will be transported to the Grand Canyon by a charter flight and then transferred to the river by helicopter.
Although the largest and the majority of rapids are found above Lava Falls, this three-night program gives an excellent introduction to river running with a chance to sample outdoor cooking and relish nights spent sleeping on a cot under the stars. At the trip’s end, you will be transferred to Las Vegas by bus.

Trip Itinerary
First Night: Arrive at Las Vegas and transfer to the Bar Ten Ranch. Enjoy horseback riding, volleyball, skeet shooting, and other ranch activities. The second morning you will be helicoptered down to the river.
2 Days & Nights: Helicopter to the river where Tour West pontoon rafts will be waiting. You will run rapids, cruise calm waters, marvel at the scenic beauty of the canyon and camp out under the stars.
Last Day: After breakfast, jet boat to South Cove on Lake Mead. From there you will be bussed to Las Vegas McCarren International Airport, and arrive in Las Vegas between 11:00am and 1:00pm.

Reservation Policy
A $300 deposit per person is due within 10 days of booking. Final payment is due 90 days prior to your trip. If you book within 90 days full payment is due within 10 days of booking.
Cancellation Policy
A minimum $300 cancellation fee will be assessed for all cancellations. Cancellations received between 30 and 60 days prior to departure forfeit one half the tour cost. Cancellations within 30 days of your trip lose the entire tour cost. No shows lose entire tour cost. Tour West is firm with this cancellation policy and suggest you purchase travel insurance. This would help reimburse you in the event of illness or other unforeseen reasons for cancellations. Forms are available on Tour West's website, through the office and with your travel agent. This cancellation policy applies per person.
