The roots of Sheri Griffith Expeditions, Inc. began in the mountains of Colorado. Sheri’s grandparents homesteaded Colorado in covered wagons at the turn of the century. This western heritage set the stage for her business development. She grew up traveling the backcountry by horseback, and camping under the stars. She and her brothers started an adventure travel company, guiding people down rivers and across the Rocky Mountains. Over the years she found that people thrive on these wilderness adventures and yearn for the opportunity to get away.
Today the river journeys are based on the same western hospitality, with safety and customer service as the goals. - The company has been operating for 28 years.
- All the river journeys run through pristine wilderness areas, National Parks, National Monuments, National Landmarks and Wild & Scenic Rivers.
- Everything is included but the crowds. All you need to bring are your personal clothing.
- Our safety record is excellent, as we place safety as our number one priority.
- We run river adventures on the Colorado, Green, Yampa and Dolores Rivers, with rapids rated from 0 to Class V.
- We are the only company that routinely provides a variety of rafts: motorized J-rigs, paddleboats, oarboats and inflatable kayaks.
- Our guests do not need any experience. Our guides are highly trained, skilled professional with the experience and expertise to navigate the rivers.
- We focus on small, personalized trips with a guide to guest ratio of 5:1.
- Sheri has received numerous awards for her conservation efforts and business management style. Her company provides a comprehensive ecological program, which includes reducing, reusing and recycling, as well as political involvement and conservation of lands.
- Sheri has traveled extensively and has organized guided tours around the world. All of these tours have the same flavor; that of adventure, environmental excellence and self-discovery.

Lee has been with Sheri Griffith Expeditions since 1988, and has spent the last 28 years arranging guests' vacations throughout the western United States.

Jeff has been with Sheri Griffith Expeditions since 1992. He chose to leave the corporate world to spend time with people in the outdoors.

Jose has an incredible way with people. He raised his family here and is very proud to have both of his sons in the rafting profession. He's been with the company since 1983.
| Nancy
Nancy ("Monk") spent five years guiding on the Grand Canyon before making Moab her home. Her professionalism, easy manner and dedication to "fun" insures outstanding river journeys.

Dave is one of our top guides and a seasoned geologist. He's known for his ability to make people feel comfortable in the outdoors and on the river, and for his awesome banjo playing skills.
