Your first taste of the Gauley will be on the Middle/Lower section learning the complexities of the river and coming to understand what “Big Volume” means in whitewater terms. You’ll get your feet wet on this section, both literally and figuratively! Once initiated, you’ll graduate to the powerful Upper section on Day Two to test your river running skills on more than 40 rapids - five of which are major Class Vs! This trip lets you see everything the Gauley has to offer in a format that rewards you every step of the way with big river excitement and beautiful scenery.
