Having a 4:1 guest to guide ratio with guides in kayaks guarantees you can follow the guide, and they will quickly be there to pick you out of the water in case you fall out. The guide in the kayak ensures your safety and allows a beginner the chance to learn how to safely navigate the river. One family member can ride an oared raft, two can be in a paddle raft, and that adventuresome teenager can captain their own inflatable kayak.
