The Salmon River is home to one of the longest anadromous fish runs in the world. Idaho’s steelhead (an ocean-going trout measuring 24 to 40+ inches) travel some 700 miles from the Pacific Ocean to their spawning grounds high in the Sawtooth Mountains. Experience this world-class fishing in Idaho on the Salmon River, and sleep soundly each night at Northwest's piece of paradise, the Little Salmon Lodge. Nestled on the banks of the Little Salmon River, this quaint lodge boasts 12 comfortable guest rooms, a riverside hot tub, and a beer and wine bar. Leave your worries behind, this trip is all-inclusive! Each morning you will be served a full hot breakfast with gourmet coffee, lunch on the river, and gourmet meals in the evening.
The steelhead season runs from September 1 through March 31. The best time to fish is usually from early October through November, and from mid-February through the end of March.
