This canyon of the Green River received its name from John Wesley Powell during his epic descent of the Green and Colorado Rivers in 1869 and 1871, but it is far from "desolate". Red rock canyon walls and a verdant ribbon of riverside foliage define this incised meander cutting through the Tavaputs Plateau. The trip is 84 miles in length and includes about 50 riffles and rapids. "Deso" is appropriate for children as young as six years of age, and has provided a family vacation venue for many guests.

Meet in Green River, Utah, the evening prior to the trip. The following morning, the day begins with an aerial preview of the canyon via a short flight from Green River up to the launch site at Sand Wash. At the end of the river trip, you will be returned to Green River City. You can drive to Green River and leave your car at Moki Mac.
If you are flying out to join the group, book your flight into Salt Lake City, Utah, or Grand Junction, Colorado, and rent a car or take a van shuttle for the drive to Green River.
Reservation Policy
$200 deposit required at time of reservation, balance due 60 days prior to launch date.
Cancellation Policy
No refunds are allowed for cancellations received less than 90 days prior to trip departure. Cancellations before 90 days will be refunded less a $25 cancellation fee.
