With one section dropping over 115 feet per mile, the Upper Yough can be considered “The Ultimate Challenge”. Laurel Highlands River Tours uses a specially designed four-person raft that is self-bailing and has foot stirrups to help you tackle this technical river. Guides will be in each raft to help you meet the challenge of nature's powerful elements. This river flows from a hydro-powered dam release. These water releases are every Monday, every Friday and the first Saturday of each month. You’ll meet in Ohiopyle, PA, and LHRT will transport you to the put-in near Friendsville, MD.
