Stretching out in the warm New Mexico sun, the Chama winds quietly through pinion forests and desert beauty. This canyon trip has been included in the Wild and Scenic River System, a tribute to its wild beauty. The Chama is a unique blend of wilderness and history; it flows serenely by the monastery of the Church of the Desert and then slips quietly back into its wild canyons. The warm climate and easy pace of this trip make it a perfect trip for families with younger children. Special Family Trips available 'Kids Go Free' - please contact Dvorak's for more information.
