San Miguel River - Family Rafting Special Rate Trips
The San Miguel River begins in the San Juan Mountains above Telluride, Colorado, and ends at the confluence with the Dolores River 72 miles later. The San Miguel is more of a spring season free flowing river The river drops over 7,000 feet from an alpine ecosystem to the desert. This river offers the whitewater boater a variety of runs all within the Class II-III range. The river's consistent gradient and continuous character provides boaters an abundance of whitewater, none of which are overly difficult. The riparian corridor is lush and contains many globally rare riparian plant communities which change dramatically with elevation, and support a wide variety of animal species.
