ARTA River Trips Since 1963, we have been providing safe and exciting river adventures throughout the west. We are a non-profit corporation and are committed to helping preserve and protect our nation's rivers; all surplus revenues generated from our trips are donated to conservation groups. Additionally, our trips themselves have a wonderful blend of spontaneity, camaraderie and education; our goal is for you to feel like a member of the family and to gain a deeper appreciation for the river and canyon.
Our guides are the heart of our operation. They are professional, but not regimented; entertaining, but not overbearing. You will enjoy the rapids and the scenery and the food and the campsites, but you will love our guides.
We offer trips on the Tuolumne, Merced, South Fork of the American, Middle Fork of the American and Klamath Rivers in California; the Rogue and Illinois Rivers in Oregon; the Main Salmon, the Middle Fork of the Salmon and the Selway Rivers in Idaho; and the Yampa and the Green Rivers in Utah. We also offer a well-respected whitewater guide training program that has been training guides and rafters for over 45 years. Our two Professional Guide Training Courses (one in Oregon and one in California) are highly-regarded commercial guide training programs while our Youth Whitewater School in Utah is great for soon-to-be guides and our Idaho Rowing School is a great place to learn how to row for private trips. We have a long history of running highly-satisfying, memorable trips with a home-style feeling; it would be a pleasure to have you join us.
