Our guides are truly the pride of our outfit. Along with their expertise at boating, they will share their stories and their knowledge of the river and its natural history. They can also rustle up a delicious meal!

| Alejandro, River Guide
Alejandro has been guiding river trips for over nine years for American River Recreation and throughout Latin American. He is an outdoor enthusiast, enjoys photography, mountain bike riding and is compassionate towards people he meets on the river.
| Danly, River Guide
Danly is one our native Costa Rican guides. Danly's worldwide guiding experience has covered such countries as New Zealand, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, Chile, and here with American River Recreation. Danly is also an avid kayaker.
| Cydney, River Guide
Cydney is a local girl! Raised in Lotus, she started here at ARR in the food department, moved into the reservation office, and eventually became one of our river guides. Cydney is a student at UNR in the off season and enjoys rafting, kayaking, dressing up and meeting boys.
| Pete, River Guide
Pete has been here from the beginning. In 1977 at age 17, Pete worked at our sister company, American River Raft Rentals. In 1979, he became one of our river guides. He now has a family and a career in the bay area, but still enjoys guiding our trips on the weekends. Pete says his oldest son should be ready to guide in our 2012 season.
