Heinz Loosli
Heinz “Hene” Loosli was born and raised in Thun, Switzerland. After studying mechanical engineering, Hene went on to compete at world-class level in both Alpine and Nordic Combination skiing, as well as Ski Jumping. His extensive athletic career also includes a second place finish in the 2004 Fulda Challenge: a seven-day race across the Yukon and parts of Alaska with events ranging from ice climbing to snow shoeing to hovercraft driving. Since the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Hene has been coach and handler for the Swiss National Paralympic Alpine Ski Team. Hene brings 17 years experience in the adventure sports and activities industry. He trained as a rafting guide in New Zealand and achieved his expert canyoning qualifications in Switzerland. His company, Alpin Raft provides the infrastructure and safety certified guides to AlpinElite clients.
| Sioux Bonforte
Sioux was born in Colorado (USA) and grew up in Southern California. She attended the University of California at Irvine where she received bachelors degrees in both Psychology and Economics before completing her formal education at Boston University where she received a Ph.D. in Psychology. Sioux has always been passionate about sports and adventure. Her sports interests are too numerous to list, but her true passions are swimming and skydiving. Sioux moved to Switzerland eight years ago where she worked for several years in Global Marketing and Brand Management for UBS – one of the world’s leading financial firms. After leaving UBS, she decided to mix business and pleasure by creating AlpinElite with Hene. Sioux runs the daily business at AlpinElite, including marketing, client relations, partnerships, etc.
