Adventure Bound considers the Desolation/Gray Canyons expedition in eastern Utah to be one of their finest trips in a remote wilderness area. Hidden away in the deepest canyons in Utah are numerous rapids, pristine beaches and cool cottonwood glens. In calmer stretches, float through the spectacular canyons filled with spires, arches and balanced rocks. Hiking provides the chance to explore ancient Anasazi Indian ruins and rock art, clear creeks, and old abandoned ranches.
Camp is set along the river in wild, completely isolated sites. The sandy beaches cool off in the evening and provide a memorable backdrop for this adventure getaway.
