Cataract Canyon, located on the Colorado River southwest of Moab, Utah, is one of America's most rugged and beautiful canyons. Adventure Bound offers "big water" trips through the truly unique and outstanding Canyonlands National Park, isolated in the southwest corner of Utah. The first part of the trip will be spent relaxing and anticipating the upcoming excitement downriver. Swim breaks and lots of suntan lotion flavor the start of the trip. Be prepared for a hearty riverside dinner and exciting campfire tales of the rapids of Cataract Canyon.
As you reach the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers in the heart of the Canyonlands, prepare for the colossal rapids of Cataract. You will raft some of the largest whitewater in America. This stretch is truly rugged and action-packed.
The peak season for whitewater is May and June and moderates throughout the summer. The last segment of the trip consists of exploring the upper reaches of Lake Powell, with the final destination at Hite Marina.
