   Overview

Welcome to the Best of the West!
Adrift Adventures would like to extend an invitation to you for the white water rafting vacation of a lifetime. Join them for an unforgettable journey through geologic time. You'll find what you want - whether it's unexcelled excitement, quiet serenity, or a bit of both.

Based in Moab, Utah, Adrift Adventures features a variety of vacations in the most rugged and beautiful canyon country of Utah, which includes Canyonlands National Park, the wild Colorado and Green Rivers, the Fisher Towers area, and the majestic LaSal Mountains.

Ride the force that created all of this geologic splendor on a river trip through the renowned Cararact Canyon of the Colorado, or the scenic Desolation Canyon of the Green. Or step aboard Adrift’s powerful jet boat to explore the river canyons between Moab and Canyonlands National Park.

If land-based adventures are more to your taste, let their skilled, professional guides take you on a jeep tour through the little-known, magnificent landscapes of Canyonlands; or on a horseback ride through the 12,000-foot LaSal Mountains of Southeastern Utah. Adrift’s combination jeep or horseback with whitewater rafting trips offers the ultimate in vacation variety.

Adrift Adventures offers the finest outfitting and equipment in the Moab area. Whether you are river rafting, jeeping in a four-wheel drive vehicle, or horseback riding with their pack and gear, you can be assured all of their facilities and equipment are designed to afford you the most enjoyable experience possible. Their food is the finest on the river. Menus feature juicy steaks, halibut or salmon, chicken, fresh salads, melons, lasagna and more. They can also prepare low-fat/low cholesterol and vegetarian menus for those who prefer.

Adrift Adventures Also Offers Tours Through Canyonlands by Jet Boat and Jeep

Jet Boat Tours
Step aboard the D. Julien for your trip into the canyon country of southeast Utah! Named after the first European known to visit the Green and Colorado rivers and what are now Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, Adrift’s powerful jet boat will allow you to explore the river canyons between Moab and Canyonlands National Park. Soaring canyon walls towering cliffs of a thousand hues, and always, the quiet majesty of the great river provide the background.

Herons and egrets stalk the beaches and sandbars, ravens and eagles soar overhead. Deer, beaver, porcupines, and even bobcat and bighorn sheep may be seen along the river banks. Learn the history of the area - "wildcat" oil drillers, ranchers, and early steamboat ventures. Pause now and then for an easy stroll to points of interest and, on full-day trips, for an elaborate picnic lunch served to leave an indelible impression. Carefully estimate how much film you will want to have along, and then bring twice as much - you'll probably need it.

Jeep Tours
Tour Canyonlands in the comfort of four-wheel drive vehicles operated by skilled, professional guides. Enjoy half or full-day trips into the magnificent but little known landscapes of southeastern Utah! All trips are guided by naturalists.

Adrift’s full trip includes a little of everything: paved roads, dirt roads, and (almost) no roads! You will see the Colorado River, visit Indian petroglyphs, travel under an incredible rock slide in Long Canyon, climb 2,000 feet from the Colorado River floor to dead Horse Point, visit the Gemini Bridges, and travel through the Klondike Bluff area (with an immense amount of ancient Dinosaur tracks). A delightful lunch is served with an incredible view of the Colorado Plateau.

Let their licensed and experienced guides take you on a vacation you'll reminisce about for years.

See you on the river!
