Two and three-day trips give you the most whitewater in a multi-day trip. Many companies add slower water to their trips so they can stretch a one-day trip into two or three days. On Acquired Tastes' second and third days, they shuttle you to the next section of great whitewater you have chosen to raft so you get more rapids and less slow water. They offer two and three-day trips in a choice of DELUXE overnight trips and BASIC overnight trips.
Deluxe trips are a total package. You camp at a campsite on private land in a gorgeous location along the Arkansas River. Acquired Tastes provides the tents and the meals. Basic trips are for people who want to camp on their own or stay in a motel. On a basic trip, Acquired Tastes provides the rafting and lunch each day and you meet them each day for rafting.
For a great two-day trip, Acquired Tastes recommends rafting Brown's Canyon the first day and your choice of Numbers/Narrows, Royal Gorge or Bighorn Sheep Canyon the second day.
For a great three-day trip, they recommend rafting Brown's Canyon the first day, Royal Gorge the second day, and Numbers/Narrows the third day.
Two and three-day trips include one-day trips each day. Combinations of one-day, half-day and double-dip trips are also available. Please call or email for prices. They will tailor a trip to meet YOUR needs!
DELUXE THREE-DAY TRIPS: Camp for two nights at a campsite on private land in a gorgeous location along the Arkansas River. While you are rafting Brown's Canyon, Acquired Tastes shuttles your sleeping bag, sleeping pad and personal gear down to the campsite. When you come off the river, you simply pick the tent you want to stay in and change into your dry clothes. Enjoy a game of volleyball, horseshoes or relax around the campfire before a delicious dinner. After a hearty breakfast the next morning, shuttle to the next section of the river you have chosen to raft. Deluxe three-day adventures include three great days of rafting, lunch on the river each day, dinner the first and second evenings and breakfast the second and third mornings. All deluxe adventures include a beautiful place to camp on private land along the river.

YOU BRING YOUR OWN SLEEPING BAG, SLEEPING PAD, PILLOW AND WARM CLOTHES TO WEAR AROUND CAMP. If you do not have your own sleeping bag, they can rent one for you. If you do not have your own sleeping pad, they can loan you one.
Meeting Place for First Day: Acquired Tastes Office in Johnson Village, one half block West of the Arkansas River Bridge on the North side of Highway 285/24, South of Buena Vista.
