Guides do one trip a day – they are not pressured to rush you down the river in order to get back to the office to pick up more customers. They can focus on how much fun they can make your trip rather than on how quickly they can get you down the river. Because guides only do one trip per day, trips are also fun for them. They do not “burn out” like guides in other companies who run the same section of river twice in one day. Acquired Tastes uses only state-of-the-art self-bailing rafts. All boats have foot cones glued to the floor so guests can sit with both feet inside the boat. Because they feel secure, guests have the confidence to really enjoy their trip. Acquired Tastes furnishes America’s Cup life jackets, rain gear, and helmets for those customers who wish to wear them.

Acquired Tastes has a put-in right at their office for their Brown’s Canyon one-day trip so you do not have to be bussed to a public put-in. They also share a private take-out with one other rafting company. If you do the Brown’s Canyon Bonus Half-Day Trip or the Brown’s Canyon One-Day Trip, you not only get to do all eight of the major rapids in Brown’s Canyon, but you also do not have to contend with the crowds at the public takeouts.
