It’s Fast, Fabulous and Fun! This is ACE Adventure Resort's most challenging trip recommended for first-timer rafters. Picture monster wave trains, with steep drops that defy gravity and take your breath away, set in a majestic wilderness scenery, with mammoth boulders guarding the shoreline, as you descend through the canyon’s churning waters.
This section of the Gauley is jam-packed with EXHILARATING rapids, ranging from Class III-V... a favorite among veteran guides. Often considered a stepping-stone to the Upper Gauley, with 12 miles and 50+ rapids, some of the biggest waves and deepest holes on the entire river, the Lower is by no means tame.
ACE Adventure Resort's private Sugar Creek Access eliminates the 3-1/2 miles (1-1/2 hours) of flatwater that all other outfitters have to endure at the end of the day. This trip includes a hot, grilled gourmet lunch on the river!
