ACE has set the standard in gourmet camping – their private, sandy river beach facility is complete with restrooms, permanent camp kitchen, with grills and picnic tables... all under roof. And there is no sleeping on the sand – spacious tents are on permanent platforms, off the ground and critter proof! Your gear will be dry and waiting for you when you reach the campsite. And the best part... ACE does all the cooking and cleaning... all you have to do is relax and enjoy great friends and family in a unique setting that you can explore and take hikes!
This trip includes two days rafting and one night camping on the river. Day one will be on the Upper Gorge for an easy introduction to whitewater. ACE will even bring along duckies to give you a more intimate whitewater experience if you like. Enjoy a hot, grilled lunch that day. That night you will be camping in style... explore or enjoy a guided hike while the guides cook a delicious dinner; steak, grilled salmon and veggie entrees are always on the menu – salads and desert complete the feast. Soft drinks, wine and beer are available and you can always bring your own beverages... ACE will keep ‘em cold for you.
Day two starts out with a big, hearty, hot breakfast and then you are off for the second day on the river, where you’ll challenge more rapids, including Surprise – a Class III rapids that really is a surprise. You’ll pull over another famous hot, grilled lunch and then finish the day off at Cunard.
