This is a 120km (75 miles) rafting/kayaking adventure on the Moisie River on Quebec's northern coast, also known as “The Nahini of the East”. The Moisie River is one of Quebec's largest and longest rivers flowing over 400km (250 miles) from the Labrador plateau to the Gulf of St-Lawrence. For thousands of years, the Innu of Quebec and Labrador used the Moisie River as a portage route to their winter hunting grounds. Your experience will be much the same as the explorers of yesterday but with a modern twist. Along with your professional guide and specialized equipment you will have the opportunity to run the rapids that early explorers had to avoid.
A challenging yet safe trip for both rafters and kayakers. ABV invites you to join them, be daring, bold, and live the thrill of a lifetime on one of the most magnificent rivers in Quebec.
Your safety and the environment is of primary concern during any ABV Kayak & Excursions adventure. Only experienced professional rafting guides with up-to-date wilderness first aid and river rescue certifications are hired. In addition, eco-friendly “leave-no-trace” camping policies keep the environment in its pristine state for others to enjoy.
