Overview
In Canada's largest province of Québec, there are more than 130,000 rivers and over one million lakes and waterways. This vast territory that is roughly three times the size of France, is sparsely populated, and is home to some of the most untouched wilderness in North America. ABV Kayak & Excursions would like to show you why Québec is known as “la belle province” (the beautiful province).
ABV Kayak & Excursions was founded by professional rafting guide and expedition leader Bruno Vanasse in 1998. Over the years, close partnerships with experienced rafting guides, kayak instructors and industry professionals developed ABV Kayak into one of the largest and most experienced rafting and kayaking outfitters in the region.
ABV Kayak & Excursions offers multi-day rafting and kayaking trips to some of Québec's most spectacular and remote rivers. The majority can only be reached by float plane like the Magpie River on Québec's northeastern coast or the Broadback River near James Bay. Both are a must for even the most consummate adventurer.
But that's not all... ABV Kayak also runs the largest kayaking school in Quebec. It is the regional center of excellence for rafting and kayaking industry professionals by providing training courses such as: Swift Water Rescue, Rafting Guide, Kayak Instructor, and Wilderness First Aid.
Why should you choose a trip with ABV? Because they are the “local guys”. They know the best spots, the culture, the language and most of all the rivers. Members of the staff have been rafting and exploring rivers in Québec like The Magpie, and the Moisie since the mid 80s. At ABV, all river guides are required to have valid certification in First-aid, and Swift Water Rescue. Most of all, ABV Kayak is not just a company, but a dedicated group of professionals passionate about the outdoors who juggle their schedules each summer so they can share their expertise with guests.
ABV’s Dedication to You and the Environment ABV guides are dedicated to providing you with the safest and most ecologically friendly adventure possible. They take great care in your security and personal needs. One example is that they staff only certified rafting guides - most with over ten years of rafting experience. They also embrace a “leave no trace” trip philosophy so others can benefit from the region’s pristine natural wilderness. Finally, they believe in making you comfortable and catering to any special needs you may have - like providing a vegan menu or including camping equipment for those who fly in from out of town.
So why not join ABV Kayak & Excursions for the trip of a lifetime, and let their professionals show you what real whitewater adventure is ...
